• Spreading joy, one costume at a time.

Costumes for Care is a proud project of the Paulding Social Services Committee, dedicated to making dress-up dreams come true. We believe every child deserves the chance to experience the pure joy of Halloween.

Through our community-powered costume drive, we build a special, free "Boo-Tique" where children in foster care can step inside, explore their imaginations, and choose the perfect outfit to celebrate with confidence and pride!

  • How It Works: 4 Simple Steps

    (And how you can help!)

    Step #1: Collecting Donations

We collect new and gently used Halloween costumes throughout the year so that every child has a wide variety of styles and sizes to choose from. (No costumes on hand? Purchase one through our Amazon wishlist!)

    Step #2: Inspecting and Sorting

Volunteers carefully inspect every single donation to ensure it is complete and in pristine, gift-ready condition. Then, we organize everything by size and category so our future shoppers can navigate the racks with ease.

    Step #3: Stocking the Boo-Tique

We set up a beautiful, pop-up shopping experience complete with clothing racks, mirrors, and decorations. We turn a simple space into a vibrant, high-end boutique where kids can explore, try on outfits, and let their imaginations run wild.

    Step #4: Time to Shop!

Foster families are invited to attend a private, completely free shopping experience. Children get to browse the racks, select their absolute favorite costume, and walk away ready to celebrate Halloween with pride, confidence, and a sense of pure belonging.
